The Metropolitan Nashville Board of Education announces a vacancy in the following position:

Assistant Chief Accountant

12 Months – Grade 12 -- Base Hourly Rate $24.57

Employment Standards:

Any combination of education and experience that would prepare the incumbent to perform the duties of the position at the appropriate level. Persons in this position would typically have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited college or university and thorough experience in professional finance including considerable experience as a supervisor. CPA certification desired.

Performs the managerial duties involved in planning and directing the centralized accounting system, including budgetary control records and cost accounting; oversees the accounting and/or auditing activities of MNPS; performs administrative and supervisory duties.
