The Metropolitan Nashville Board of Education announces a vacancy in the following position:

Communications Assistant
Public Information and Community Relations
12 months – Grade 9 – Base hourly rate - $16.72

Employment Standards:

Bachelors Degree in Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations and Advertising from an accredited college or university plus relevant experience for this position. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint required. Desirable software proficiency includes Quark, Photo Shop and Excel.

Plans, creates, assembles and distributes information and materials through a variety of channels and processes, including but not limited to: MNPS intranet, weekly e-mail communications, group presentations, print and electronic mediums. Responsible for Public Information duties as assigned.
