Fran Stewart became the executive principal of East Literature Magnet School in 2003. Prior to coming to East, she was the principal of Meigs Magnet School for eight years. Mrs. Stewart began her teaching career in 1973 in Norris, Tennessee. In 1976 she moved to Nashville and joined the faculty of West End Middle School. Mrs. Stewart taught mathematics before moving to school administration in 1992.
Sandra Burns has been at East Literature Magnet School since its beginning in 1993. Today she serves as the assistant principal for grades nine through twelve. Mrs. Burns has served in the schools of Nashville for over thirty-five years. Prior to entering school administration she taught science.
Tim Caher is the newest addition to the administrative staff of East Literature Magnet School. Mr. Caher arrived in January of 2005. Today he is the assistant principal for grades five through eight. Prior to coming to East he taught physical education at Meigs Magnet School.
