PLAN:  On Wednesday, November 11th, all tenth grade students will be taking the PLAN test.  This is a great way to prepare for the ACT test, as it covers the same subjects and gives students an estimated ACT score.  The PLAN also helps students identify skills and knowledge they need to succeed in college, see areas where they need extra help, and find careers that match their interests.  The test will begin promptly at 8:00 and all students should bring two #2 pencils and a graphing calculator if they have one.

High School Play:  The advanced drama class will present it's fall production, I Just Wanna Tell Somebody, on Thursday, November 12th and Friday, November 13th.  This is a powerful anti-child abuse play by Harold J. Haynes.  Performances will begin at 7:00 pm.  Tickets will go on sale beginning November 9th.  The cost is $3.00 in advance or $5.00 at the door.  PLEASE NOTE:  This play is rated PG-13 and may not be suitable for children under the age of 13.

CSI Night:  Middle school parents and students are invited to come together to solve a "crime" on Tuesday, November 17th at 6:30 pm.  You will have a chance to put some forensic science skills to work to figure out "whodunnit?"  As an added bonus, Little Ceasar's Pizza is donating free pizza to the first 75 people to show up!

Middle School Choir Concert:  The middle school choir will present it's winter concert, Tastes and Sounds of the Season, on Thursday, December 3rd at 7:00 pm in the high school auditorium.  All students and parents are invited to attend.

Middle School Dance:  The middle school will host a dance on Friday, December 4th.  Tickets will go on sale in November.  The cost is $3.00 in advance or $5.00 at the door.  Parents are invited to help chaperone.

High School Choir Concert:  Please join the high school choir on Thursday, December 10th, for it's Winter Solstice Concert at 6:30 pm in the high school auditorium.  Tickets will go on sale beginning December 7th.  The cost is $3.00 in advance or $5.00 at the door.

Volunteers Needed:  The PTSO would like to thank all parents who have been volunteering their time to help make this a successful start to the school year.  As a group, we have logged over 200 hours of volunteer time!  All families are encouraged to donate at least 2 hours this year.  Whether you want to help in the library, chaperone an event, solicit donations, and any other activities, we want you involved!  Many jobs will take only a few minutes of your time, but it all adds up.  We even include your donations to school events as volunteer time.  Please log in your volunteer hours in the main office of each building.  By all of us coming together, we can accomplish great things for our school and our students.
