The ELMS Universtiy Track to Graduation...

>9th Graders must earn at least 5 credits to become a sophomore. They need to focus on organization and making good grades. Gateway Exit Exams are given to students who have completed Algebra I and Biology.

>10th Graders must earn at least 10 credits to become a junior. They will take the PLAN(Pre-ACT)at no cost and will have an option to take the PSAT(pre-SAT) for a minimal cost during the fall. Gateway Exit Exams are given to students who have completed Biology and English II.

>11th Graders must earn at least 16 credits to become a senior. They should take the ACT or SAT by the end of their junior year in preparation for college. College visits are encouraged.

>12th Graders must earn at least 22 credits to GRADUATE! All seniors are expected to take the ACT or SAT in October. Deadlines for college applications and the search for scholarships intensify as the year progresses. FAFSA (financial aid forms) are completed by all seniors and their parents during January and February.
